Working mainly in pen and ink, Mary has been drawing all her life. Regardless of her medium, (ink, watercolour, acrylic) her art is fanciful, other-worldly and reflective of her life. There are also pieces that come from pure fantasy and emotion, which leave the artist wondering, “what’s going on inside my heart and mind, and where does this come from?”

Mary’s drawings are usually 12”x18” and are so finely drawn that they are often enlarged into canvas prints several times the size of the original, but without loss of detail.

An avid gardener at her home in Sidney, BC, Mary also enjoys exploring gardens around the world. Her flower and nature pieces are informed by her experiences, but also flow from her creative imagination. Outside of her garden studio, Mary spends her time with her husband, and her family on Salt Spring Island, where she loves adventuring with her grandchildren.
